26th Aug 2010/ Davy Cowan & The Hose beast @ Loopallu

Armed with an acoustic guitar & travel drum kit with Budweiser box kick drum, Davy & his old Coinneach drummer buddy Graeme Hosie have gone back to their Roots to the music which inspired them to pick up instruments all those years ago.
The Punk & New Wave scene inspired a generation of people to pick up instruments and play regardless of ability or background, race or religion, class or creed.
At the time Punk sent out the message that music was there for everybody, whether it was thrashing out a noise in a garage with your mates or learning a couple of chords on the guitar for your own enjoyment, basically anyone could do it, the D.I.Y spirit took off and most people wanted to have a go!
Davy & The Hose Beast deliver on acoustic guitar & drums an energised set of songs from bands & artists that have inspired them over the years: Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, Elvis Castello, The Jam, The Specials & The Stranglers are just a few of the artists covered in their set.
Catch them at Loopallu Festival @ The Arch Inn Ullapool Thursday 16th Sept & The Festival Bar stage on Sat 18th Sept, (don’t forget you’re crash helmet!!!!)
